Peeping into my Mom's Wardrobe

We all have grown up admiring our mom, seeing them dress up. Most of us wish to be like her, dress up like her but as we grow up, we develop our own styles and sense of fashion. From tying sarees with her dupatta's to wearing her high heels, we have done that all. But we still love her clothes, from those beautiful sarees to those pretty kurtas to those tops and shirts.

There is always a part of her wardrobe that we love and wish to wear but don't know how would we fit and look in them. So why not just style them in our own way and create a completely new look. I just tried creating some new looks from my mom's wardrobe.

Lucknow embroidery has always been in trend and you can never go wrong with a Lucknow embroidery kurta. I wore my mom's baby pink short kurta that has embroidery in white. I paired the kurta with my denim shorts and tucked it inside the shorts. Adding that contrast to the kurta, I chose maroon coloured oxford shoes and carried a maroon coloured mini backpack. Completing the look with pink and silver coloured drop earrings and a silver watch. You can also go for an Indian look with pants or culottes. Or create an Indo-western look by pairing it with jeans and juttis.

Next is my favourite kurta, which is actually a suit set. Mesh tops are totally in fashion and white can never go wrong in any season. It is a white mesh kurta which has embroidery all over it. I paired it with white tank top and blue high waisted denim jeans, wearing the kurta over the top and jeans as a shrug. Complementing the look, I wore my white sneakers that has floral work on it along with my silver watch. To add that pop of colour to the look, I wore red and green coloured Tibetan style earrings and carried a green and golden coloured tote bag.

Lastly, I stole my mom's black net skirt. I wore a black tank top and a white net shrug over it. Both tucked inside the black skirt paired with black ballerinas. Breaking the black and white monochrome, I chose a silver coloured bag. Keeping it minimalistic, I wore only a black watch. You can wear any light coloured top over the skirt. The look can also be paired with heels and statement necklace or earrings to create a party look.

Love you mom !!
