Ethnic Love

I love wearing ethnic clothes as they bring a change to my daily western jeans, top or dresses. These days, they are not just limited to festivals or special occasions but are also worn on day to day basis. They can be worn for shopping, going out with friends as they make you look elegant and beautiful and are also very comfortable specially in this season (when you don't like wearing skinny clothes). They can also be styled in the classic way, i.e. for worship or weddings. I find it very difficult getting the perfect dress for a wedding, so why not style a basic outfit for a wedding by just giving a twist to the accessories. So, I used my golden skirt that has a pearl work at the bottom and a black kurta that has a front slit on it; styling the same outfit in two different ways.

My first look is a basic look that you can wear for outting with friends or go shopping or even go to temple in it. I wore the skirt and kurta combination with my black ballerinas and carried a red sling in contrast to the thread-work on my kurta. Completed the look with black coloured stud earrings and wrist watch keeping my hair side parted.

The next look is a wedding look or for a special occasion. Wore a red coloured dupatta that has golden work on the sides with the same outfit. Adding that bling with golden coloured heels and a silver clutch that has golden tassels on it. Complementing the look with statement earrings and some bangles. I kept my hair half tied to grab the attention on those statement earrings that completely changes my look. You can also add a maang tikka to the look.
